About Us
Fundación Oasis de Amor y Paz (FOAP) is a non-profit organization operating in northeastern Colombia (in the municipality of Ábrego, department of Norte de Santander). Its mission is to educate and promote peace. FOAP’s primary focus is on rescuing children exploited in coca plantations or recruited into illegal armed groups, offering them a peaceful and hopeful future.
FOAP began its work in January 2007 with just ten children. Today, over 150 children, teenagers, young adults, and families from conflict-affected areas benefit from the Foundation’s programs, residing in the Foundation’s three different centers.
Mission
To improve the living conditions of children, teenagers, and young people in conflict zones by offering them a holistic education rooted in values such as service, forgiveness, and peace.
Vision
To become an organization with both national and international recognition, leading in the transformation of social processes in conflict zones, and playing a key role in developing projects that promote fundamental values like freedom, justice, and forgiveness—always with the goal of building peace.
